San Diego, CA (October 18, 2015) – Members of the San Diego Concierge Association assembled their team in festive pink and volunteered their time to celebrate Cancer survivors, honor those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life-threatening disease. The Susan G. Koman “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” was held in beautiful Balboa Park and drew thousands to participate in efforts to make this breast cancer’s last century.
Every year, 1.1 million women worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer, and 410,000 die from the disease. Every dollar raised through the Susan G. Koman foundation goes directly to cutting-edge cancer research, local education, screening and treatment, as well as programs that improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. The San Diego Concierge Association was proud to be there in attendance knowing that every step is making a difference. Members who couldn’t attend the walk generously donated funds to support the fight.
Volunteering at the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” marked over 100 hours in volunteer work this year for the San Diego Concierge Association! Members celebrated and recognized the contributions they’ve made to the city of San Diego on October 24th which is marked as the International Concierge Day of Service.
